Downtown Sports

The Downtown Falcons sports ministry is the cornerstone of Downtown Ministries. There’s almost always a sport in season. Our teams are coached by volunteers and compete in leagues with other youth squads in Athens and Northeast Georgia.

Football

What began as a single football team in 2003 is now four football teams for boys ages 4-12. Football season begins in July and runs through November.

Cheerleading

In a tradition as old as our football program, girls ages 4-12 can participate in Falcons’ cheerleading squads. The season runs closely with the football season.

Basketball

Basketball season runs all winter and is available to boys and girls in our community.
